Vet Quilts and Floating Star Blocks

Today we are working on floating star blocks for Vet quilts.

We had a quilt presentation this week. He is a WWII Vet, he was in the Navy, received the Bronze Star along with other awards. He was very humbled that we honored him.
Here are the quilts that we finished this week.

We have 17 quilts completely finished, 30+ tops made.  September 23 is approaching fast and we need to get busy.

Linking up with the QOV Queen, Alycia.

  3. Beautiful quilts! Our guild also has a large group to complete for presentation in November. We estimate we need 50 done. Have more than enough tops, just have to get them quilted. We are a small group with only 2 long arm quilters working on these. We have learned a hard lesson about promising so many and will set a maximum of 20 for any future presentations that we do. It's so satisfying to participate, but can be overwhelming when the load is too much.
